What is the teacher/child ratio?

Our preschool classes have a maximum of 18 children and 2 experienced educators, resulting in a 1:9 ratio.

When does registration open and how many spots are available?

The number of spots available varies from year to year. In-house registration occurs in January and priority is given to current students and siblings followed by alumni (families who previously attended VCSC). Registration is then open to the broader community and waitlisted families are invited to attend an Open House in February. Although attendance is not mandatory, registration priority is given to those who attend. Offers for spots in all our programs are usually communicated by March.

How long is the waitlist?

You can add yourself to the waitlist by submitting an application online. You can do this at any time (even before your child is born). Because our classes are co-ed and mixed-age, we try to balance the overall composition. Your child’s position on the waitlist is based on date of application but also takes these factors into consideration. Please contact our Registrar at VCSCadm@gmail.com and we’ll let you know if anything is available now or might be available soon.

Do you have space in any of your current programs?

From time to time space becomes available during the school year. We encourage you to complete an application form to be placed on our waitlist. Please contact our Registrar at VCSCadm@gmail.com and we’ll let you know if anything is available now, or might be available soon.

What happened to the Anchor program?

After nearly 3 decades of running the unique Anchor program at VCSC, it has been cancelled due to multiple reasons. We do not know what the future holds for Anchor, as nothing in life is certain.

What is your refund policy?

Once a family has accepted a spot in the school, the registration fee, September and June tuition fees are non-refundable.

If a family decides to withdraw during the school year, the remaining tuition is refundable if one (1) calendar month’s written notice is given on the first of the month. If written notice is given later than the first of the month (i.e. February 6th) the following month’s tuition (i.e. March) is forfeited and the remaining months (in this example, April and May) would be refunded.

What is your vaccination policy?

VCSC requires vaccinations to be up to date for all students. Exceptions may be granted for medical reasons when documentation from a medical doctor outlining the condition and reasons for delay are provided. Any documentation for an exemption request should be included with the registration package and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

What is your COVID-19 policy?

VCSC will follow all directives and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health. Read our full protocols and policy.
